During the reign of the Qianlong emperor in the Qing dynasty, Qianlong had a interest in the local opera. In 1790, to celebrate his eightieth birthday, he summoned opera troupes from different places to perform for him in Beijing. Four famous troupes from Anhui province remained in Beijing after the celebration. In 1828, A Hubei troupe came to Beijing and often performed together with the Anhui troupes. The two types of singing mixed together and gradually a new type came into being known as Beijing Opera. Now is the performance. I hope you will like it.

The boys and girls 1500 metres races were the most exciting games. The relay races were exciting, too. Everyone cheered for the competitions. They did their best. When they scored for their own class, everyone was so excited that they jumped to their feet. The sports meeting didn’t end until four in the afternoon. We were tired but we were so happy.

Tt is known to us that the exam is the main method to measure the students'knowledge in school.But nowadays this method is almost be-coming the only way to judge the students'ability and knowledge.
If this method is over-used,I believe it will do us more harm than good.For one thing,too many exams keep the students from reading widely,because the students are forced to prepare the lessons to be examed.Their knowledge can only be narrowed within few text-books taught in class.For another,the exam itself encourages rigid memoriza-tion instead of initiating the students'creativtiy and individual thinking which will be of great importance in their future work.
So we can conclude that too many exams are not good to the stu-dents.Some measures should be taken to lessen the students'burden.Remember the main purpose of the exam is to urge and encourage the students to learn more.

On Monday I usually get up at ten past six in the morning. And then I brush my teeth and wash my face. I have a quick breakfast at around twenty-five past six. And at about twenty to seven I leave home for school. I usually go to school by bus. And the bus ride usually takes about half an hour. I arrive at school at around ten past seven.
I have seven classes every day. Four of them are in the morning. And three of them are in the afternoon. I always have lunch at school at about twelve o'clock.
All my classes finish at around five o'clock p.m. And at around six o'clock I get home. I eat supper at about ten to seven p.m. And then I do my homework. At around fifteen past ten in the evening, I do some washing. And I go to sleep at around half past ten at night.

The most beautiful memory
My grandma lived in the country twelve years ago. At that time, I often went to visit my grandparents with my parents during the holidays. Although I was very young then, now I can still remember a lot of things there clearly.
I was very glad when we went to the country. I enjoyed seeing the beautiful things in the countryside. My grandpa grew many kinds of vegetables in his garden, such as cabbages, tomatoes, potatoes and carrots. Every morning, he fetched water from a river, and then watered the vegetables. Grandpa took good care of his vegetables as if they were his children. When autumn came, the garden was covered with greenery(綠色植物). Grandpa was always happy to see that. My grandma kept many chickens. They were all very lively. I liked playing with them; sometimes I had dinner with them playing around. I always thought they loved me.
There was a small forest near my grandparents’ house. The trees were very thick. I usually played with my cousin in the woods after a meal. We could hear the birds singing in the trees and see many small animals playing in the grass. The air in the woods was fresh because of the trees. We usually played a game called “Mud Fighting”(打泥仗). First, we made mud balls. The more, the better; the bigger, the better. Then, we threw them at each other. The person who hit the other person first was the winner. We liked the game though it made our clothes dirty.
In front of the woods, there was a small river. The water in the river was very clean and not very deep. In summer, it was quite cool. However, it became warm in winter. I could see many fishes in the river. Sometimes, my grandpa caught some fishes for supper. How delicious they were! There was a bridge which was made of stone over the river. I could go across the bridge to the other side. There were also many beautiful flowers and lines of trees on the banks of the river.
Eight years ago my grandparents moved to the city and I’ve never gone to that village. However, I still remember it. I love the village and everything there and I will remember it forever!
