　　Task：The chart below shows the major reasons for students to choose a UK university in 1985 and 2005.

　　Sample answer:

　　The bar chart compares the percentage of five main reasons considered when students chose a UK university in years of 1985 and 2005.

　　It can be seen clearly that in 1985, suitable level courses was regarded as the prior reason with about 38% of students taking it into account. On the contrary, the least percentage of students (approximately 8%) thought the distance from universities to their homes was significant. Regarding to sports facilities as well as resources, almost the same proportion of students paid attention to them, at 18% and 21% respectively. Interestingly, teaching was not a vital reason for students.

　　In 2005, although there were still most students deemed suitable level courses as the first primary factor, the figure was a little higher than that in 1985. It was noticeable that how close to home became the second significant element. By contrast, sport facilities were no longer important for students. Only 5% of them cared about it. Compared with figures in 1985, teaching was attached more importance, while resources got less attention.

　　In conclusion, the situation had changed a lot during the past 20 years, especially the percentage of sports facilities.
