Cover Letter
Dear Manager:
As a student majoring in journalism in Fudan University, I am in my penultimate year now. With much relevant working experience in media, I have a strong interest in this field. I have gained some basic public relation and management knowledge through some optional courses and practiced them well when I worked as an intern at the Southern Metropolis Daily . While this experience trained me how to deal with report and presentation, it also offered many chances to interview with many entrepreneurs and managers mainly deal with fashion and IT.
I believe working with such an excellent team can not only enlarge my knowledge scope but also strengthen my problem-solving ability. Possessing an ability to overcome obstacles and a modest character, I will try my best to help the company while it teaches me.
This semester will be ended at the end of this year. Without any courses to attend next semester, my available time (full-time for work) will begin from January to September, 2007, which will be long enough for an internship. It will be my great honor to work for you, and your response will be deeply appreciated.

Cover Letter是什么？其實很簡單，就是一個學(xué)生用email或者郵件投遞自己簡歷的時候,附加的一封短短的介紹自己意向的文字說明。如果說簡歷信息是對學(xué)生客觀情況的反應(yīng)，那Cover Letter就是學(xué)生主觀能力的體現(xiàn)。

寫Cover Letter重要的原則是把最重要的信息放在開頭。（就這位同學(xué)的Cover Letter而言），例如：我剛完成我第X年的本科學(xué)業(yè)/碩士學(xué)業(yè)，想在您公司找一個X個月的實習(xí)（諸如此類的）；我在XX報社有過X個月的工作經(jīng)歷；我是一個對新聞工作很有熱情的人；在我最近一次實習(xí)中，我先后采訪了X名外國企業(yè)家，報道、專題撰寫能力都有很好的鍛煉
其次寫Cover Letter不要過多提及你希望公司可以帶給你什么，要把你能夠帶著公司的附加值體現(xiàn)出來，放在重中之重，要記住，招人的公司是希望找到可能幫助公司解決現(xiàn)有問題的人才，所以你應(yīng)該在信中自信地告訴別人你就是公司要找的人。
在Cover Letter的最后，你不要忘記帶出你對這個工作機會的感興趣程度。最后那句話如果是I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about this exciting opportunity.就最好了。
