If you know English,you van make a trip round the world without being misunderstood.In the secondplace, most valuable books, newspapers and magazines are written in English. Ifyou wish (hope) to get knowledge, you must learn English.

　　One Sunday my mother (Mother) had (made) me take my little young brother tothe a trip to the country. She bade me take good care of him.

　　While we were walking along the road, the sun was shining brightly and thebreeze was blowing gently. We saw the beautiful flowers smile (smiling) at usand heard the birds sing (singing) their sweet songs on the trees. The scenerywas indeed very pretty (beautiful).

　　When we felt tired, we returned home. We saw Mother (our mother) wait(waiting) for us at the door.

That stands to reason.Howeverimportant fame and wealth may be，we must not let them become our object inlife. I must apply myself closely to my studies so as to be able to cope withmy duties (as a teacher).

　　Yesterday was my birthday and I received a lot of presents. These presentswere packed in coloured paper and two of them were funny and interesting, whichimpressed me.

　　My sister sent a bag of present to me. The bag was big and round. I thoughit was a football. But when I opened it, I saw a clock. The other one was givenby my brother. He left me a message, which said "my present is lying in yourbedroom". When I got to my bedroom, I found a laptop. Oh!Great!' I jumped withjoy. I know, they Want me to study hard and not to waste time.
