　　It is said that there was a goodness man went broke his domain. He lived a hard life and he has three daughters. The three daughters were being married but he didnt have money to buy dower for his daughters. On the happy Chrismas Eve three girls went to bed early. They didnt know that their father was so worried. At last the Chrismas father decided to help them . He besprinkled gold through the stack and the gold fell into the socks of the mans daughters. They lived a happy life from then on... Chrismas socks was origined by this.

　　傳說有個心地善良的沒落貴族，生活非常艱難。三個女兒快要出嫁了，他為沒有錢給她們買嫁妝而難過。喜慶的圣誕夜，三個姑娘早早地蜷在炕上睡覺了，剩下父親在長吁短嘆。圣誕老人決定幫助他們。他在他們家的煙囪里撒下了許多金子，落進姑娘們烤在火爐旁的長統(tǒng)絲襪里。從此，他們過上了幸福而快樂的生活……圣誕節(jié)的`襪子就這樣產(chǎn)生了。

　　圣誕節(jié) Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December. It is a very happy day for many boys and girls. Before the term ends in some schools, the children act a nativity or “birth” play, showing how Jesus was born in a stable.

　　12月25日是圣誕節(jié)。對許多男孩和女孩來說，這天是個非常開心的日子。在某些學校，學期結(jié)束前，孩子們會表演有關(guān)（耶穌）誕生或出生的戲劇，用來（向大家）展示耶穌是如何在馬廄里出生的。

　　On the twenty-fourth of December, all children are very excited. Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready. The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace, so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents. Later that night, father or mother will put presents in the sock, and leave others at the side of the bed.

　　在12月24日這天，所有的小孩都很興奮。他們常常被（父母）早早地趕上床去睡覺，以便他們的父母能準備好禮物。年幼一點的小孩認為圣誕老人將從煙囪或壁爐里下來，所以他們掛起襪子，方便圣誕老人把禮物放進去。有些貪心的人，為了能得到的禮物，甚至把枕套或布袋掛起來。晚一些時候，爸爸或媽媽將禮物放進襪子，并把其他禮物放在（孩子們的）床邊。

　　On Christmas morning, the children wake up very early. Some even turn on the light at two oclock, and most of them are awake by six oclock, and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared. At about one oclock in the afternoon, the Christmas dinner is brought in. The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten. Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it. The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

　　圣誕節(jié)的'早上，小孩們很早就醒來了。一些人甚至在凌晨兩點開燈，但大多數(shù)小孩會在六點醒來，孩子們在（大人們）準備晚餐的時候玩耍。下午一點，圣誕大餐出爐了�；痣u或雞腿總是很快被搶光。孩子們尋找著屬于他們的圣誕布丁是為了確認金幣是否有藏在里面。在剩余的時間里，（人們）便是玩游戲和吃食物直到最開心幸福的圣誕節(jié)結(jié)束。
