　　Trying Is the First Step

　　More often than not, people attach importance to the great results, ignoring the process of the attempts on the way to success. However, it is our courage to make an attempt that makes a difference.

　　I’d like to share my personal experience with you. Afraid of water, I hadn’t taken up swimming until last summer, when somehow I wanted to have a try. Encouraged by my parents, I signed up for a summer course. Initially, each time I jumped into the pool and tried hard to move my arms and legs, I failed to float my body. Instead of dropping out, I made up my mind to have another try. As a result of many successful failures, I not only got the hang of swimming, but also experienced the great pleasure of taking a dip in cold water on a hot summer day.

　　The experience has taught me a precious lesson that trying is the first step to our destination. So try something new bravely and you will find yourself achieving what you deserve.

　　嘗試是第一步

　　通常情況下，人們會(huì)重視偉大的結(jié)果，忽視了通往成功的道路。然而，我們有勇氣去做一種嘗試，這是有意義的。

　　我想和你分享我的個(gè)人經(jīng)歷。由于害怕水，我直到去年夏天才開始游泳，那時(shí)我想嘗試一下。在父母的鼓勵(lì)下，我報(bào)名參加了一個(gè)暑期班。開始的時(shí)候，每次我跳進(jìn)游泳池，使勁挪動(dòng)我的胳膊和腿，我的身體都沒能浮起來。我沒有放棄，而是下定決心再試一次。由于許多成功的失敗，我不僅有了游泳的竅門，而且還體驗(yàn)到了在炎熱的夏日里泡冷水的樂趣。

　　這次經(jīng)歷教會(huì)了我一個(gè)寶貴的教訓(xùn)：嘗試是到達(dá)目的地的第一步。所以，勇敢地嘗試新事物，你會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)自己得到了你應(yīng)得的。
