人造美
不是每個人都美若天仙，但有了各種化妝神器助攻，什么都是可以造出來噠。
比如fake eyelashes(假睫毛);
比如fake tan(美黑)。例句:
For people with sensitive skin, a fake tan is a nice alternative to getting a sunburn.
對于敏感膚質(zhì)的人來說，美黑是代替曬黑的不錯選擇。
注意：Fake這個詞并不適用于大多數(shù)美容化妝效果，比如，我們不說"fake hair color"，要表達(dá)染發(fā)，就得說:
He dyes his hair.
他染了發(fā)。
She got her hair colored.
她把頭發(fā)染了。
上妝 Things you do with makeup
put on makeup
化妝的過程就是put on makeup，也可以說do (someone's) makeup。
舉例:
It takes me about five minutes to do my makeup.
我化個妝大概五分鐘。
稍正式一點(diǎn)的動詞是apply，比如apply lipstick(涂口紅)。
注意：makeup不是動詞，是名詞。所以不要再說"I makeup" 或 "I makeup my face"了哦。
不過，如果某人的妝特別濃，一眼就能看出來(wearing noticeable makeup)，你就可以說:
She looked all made up.
她的妝看著太假了。
put (someone's) face on
這個短語也是化妝的意思，通常是整張臉都化上妝，但人們并不常用這個表達(dá)，就算用，多少會帶些戲謔的意味。
修補(bǔ)瑕疵 Quick cosmetic fixes
對于一些人來說，化妝是一種彌補(bǔ)天生不足的解決方法：
They want to fix their imperfections or flaws.
他們想修補(bǔ)自己的不完美之處或各種小瑕疵。
conceal/cover (up)
遮瑕
Makeup helps conceal or cover up those imperfections, like scars or acne.
化妝可以幫助遮瑕，比如遮住疤痕或粉刺。
也許有人天生麗質(zhì)，沒啥可遮蓋的，但是架不住日夜操勞，面如菜色，這樣的膚色我們叫做“washed out”，即像被洗掉了顏色一樣，黯淡無光澤。
在這種情況下，口紅(lipstick)和腮紅(blush)就是最好的fix啦。它們可以讓你的肌膚換發(fā)健康自然的光澤(healthy glow)。
even out
均勻膚色
如果膚色不均勻，比如額頭比兩頰曬得更黑，那么解決辦法也很簡單:
You might choose a foundation or tinted lotion to even out your skin tone.
你可以選用一款粉底或提亮膚色的潤膚露來均勻膚色。
tighten your skin
緊致皮膚
一些抗衰老的護(hù)膚品(anti-aging products)，通常以緊致皮膚作為賣點(diǎn):
They make your skin tighter, less wrinkled, and younger-looking.
它們可以讓你的皮膚更加緊致，減少皺紋，煥發(fā)青春。
類似的動詞還有smooth。
fill in
填補(bǔ)
如果你的嘴唇顏色過淡，眉毛太稀，不妨用化妝品給填補(bǔ)一些顏色(fill them in with a bit of color)。
烘托你的美 Bringing out your best
除了修補(bǔ)瑕疵，化妝品還能烘托、凸顯美好的五官(emphasize your best features)。Highlight作動詞用也可以表達(dá)這個意思。舉例:
A bright red lipstick will certainly bring out your lips.
鮮亮的唇膏顯然能烘托出你的雙唇。
make your eyes pop
讓眼睛有神
Make your eyes pop可不是讓眼珠蹦出來，而是讓你的眼睛炯炯有神。比如，使用紫色的眼線(eyeliner)可以使眼睛更加奪目動人(stand out more, and be more noticeable)。
