Subject: Cover letter for the position of air quality engineer

Respected Mr. Potter,

This letter is in regards to the requirement in your organization for a candidate in the position of air quality engineer. I would like to apply for a similar position as I believe that I have the required ability and knowledge about the job functions in this position.

I am currently working with Turbine Air Systems Limited as an air quality engineer. My job functions are to analyze the air quality and to evaluate the regulatory guidelines that can be applied. I may also have to sometime implement greenhouse gas inventory and ensure reduction of machinery emission of gases that pollute the air. I can assure you that I am well versed with all kinds of pollution and emission norms. I am very dedicated and flexible in terms of work timings. I have also completed a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from   New York University.
